Prime Group Overview
An Integrated Energy Group Built for Indonesia's Long-Term Future
Established in 1992, Prime Group is a major Indonesian energy company with strong credentials as an investor and operator across the oil and gas sector. The Group operates through two primary business segments: upstream and downstream, with activities spanning oil and gas exploration and production, gas processing, crude oil and condensate trading, and refinery development.
As a privately owned company, Prime Group has built a strong platform for long-term growth through the successful acquisition, integration, and development of a diverse portfolio of energy businesses over the past three decades.
OIL & GAS
Four Pillars.
One Integrated Energy Group.
Prime Group creates value at every link of the energy chain — through four specialised subsidiaries, each with a clear mandate, a proven operational record, and a shared commitment to powering Indonesia.
Prime Natuna EP
Natuna Sea Block A (Operator)
Operatorship in Indonesia's Next Gas Frontier
Prime Natuna EP (PNEP), through PONS B.V., holds a 28.67% participating interest and operatorship in the Natuna Sea Block A PSC — a gas-focused producing asset acquired from Harbour Energy.
Block A delivers approximately 90 mmscfd of gas production, equivalent to roughly 20,000 boepd. With 33 mmboe of 2P reserves and an additional 190 mmboe of 2C resource upside, Block A represents a significant long-term growth platform for the Group — supported by long-term gas supply agreements with SembCorp.
Prime Natuna Inc.
South Natuna Sea Block B ( Non Operator )
Indonesia's Gateway to the Natuna Sea
Prime Natuna Inc. (PNInc) holds a 25% participating interest in the Natuna Sea Block B Production Sharing Contract — one of Indonesia’s most significant oil and gas producing assets, acquired from Chevron.
Block B currently delivers gross production of approximately 24,000 barrels of oil per day and 160 mmscfd of gas, equivalent to approximately 50,000 boepd in total. The block contains approximately 70 mmboe of 2P reserves and is underpinned by long-term Gas Sales Agreements with SembCorp, securing reliable gas supply to Singapore for decades to come.
Prime Tuna EP
Tuna (Operator )
Building Indonesia's Next Major Gas Producer
Prime Tuna EP (PTEP) holds a 50% participating interest and operatorship in the Tuna PSC — acquired from Harbour Energy. The Tuna discovery was first made by Premier Oil in 2014 and further appraised in 2021.
With its Plan of Development approved by the Government of Indonesia in December 2022, the Tuna PSC is advancing toward first gas production targeted for 2030. The Tuna fields (Kuda Laut and Singa Laut) hold approximately 124 mmboe of reserves and a further 166 mmboe of 2C resource potential, comprising 34 mmbbl of oil and 566 Bcf of gas.
Prime Arwana EP
Arwana III (Operator)
Expanding Indonesia's Energy Frontier in the Natuna Sea
Prime Arwana EP holds the operatorship of Arwana III — an offshore exploration block in the Natuna Sea, awarded by Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) on 20 May 2026 at IPA Convex 2026.

Our Integrated Model
How Prime Group Powers Indonesia
Prime Group’s integrated energy model creates value at every stage — from subsurface exploration and wellhead production, to gas commercialisation and petroleum product refining — all in service of Indonesia’s long-term energy security and domestic supply needs.
Step 1
We Explore, Acquire & Produce
We hold strategic interests in three upstream PSCs across the Natuna Sea: Block B (~50,000 boepd), Block A (~20,000 boepd), and the Tuna PSC (first gas 2029). Our total 2P reserves of 228 mmboe and 2C resources of 572 mmboe provide a long, visible production runway for the Group.
Step 2
We Commercialise & Refine
Upstream gas is delivered to Singapore via long-term Gas Sales Agreements with SembCorp — guaranteeing reliable regional supply. Downstream, our East Java refinery processes crude from ExxonMobil Cepu Limited into HSD, gasoline, and other petroleum products, supporting Indonesia’s domestic energy needs.
Step 3
We Grow — and Indonesia Grows With Us
As a privately owned Indonesian group, Prime Group reinvests in national energy capacity — developing new PSCs, building local expertise and human capital, and expanding our energy portfolio to support Indonesia’s goal of long-term energy self-sufficiency. Our growth is Indonesia’s growth.
